  • What truck licence can I get if I train at Blue Horse Truck Driver Training?

    BHTDT offers Heavy Rigid (HR), Heavy Combination (HC) and Multi-Combination (MC) licences.

  • How long do I have to wait to upgrade my Licence?

    • HR Licence: You need a C Class for at least 2 years or Medium/Light Rigid for at least 1 year
    • HC Licence: A Car (C Class) Licence for at least 3 years, and a Heavy Rigid (HR class) or Heavy Combination (HC class) Licence for at least 1 year.
    • MC Licence – Car (C Class) Licence for at least 3 years, and a Heavy Rigid (HR class) or Heavy Combination (HC class) Licence for at least 1 year.

  • Can I defer my assessment?

    Yes, you can defer your assessment for a maximum of 3 months.

  • Can I get a manual truck licence if I drive an automatic car?

    Yes, you can. Our qualified trainers will teach you to drive a truck in your class.
