  • What truck licence can I get if I train at Blue Horse Truck Driver Training?

    • We offer Heavy Rigid (HR) Automatic, Synchromesh and Road Ranger, Heavy Combination (HC) and Multi-Combination (MC) licences.

  • Can I upgrade my licence and is there a waiting period?

    • You can upgrade your licence:
    • For a HR Licence – you need a c class licence for at least 2 years or Medium/Light Rigid for at least 1 year
    • For a HC Licence – you need a c class licence for at least 3 years, and a Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) licence for at least 1 year.
    • For a MC Licence – you need a c class licence for at least 3 years, and a Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) Licence for at least 1 year.

  • What happens if I do not sit my assessment (PDA)?

    • If you defer or you are not ready to sit your assessment (PDA), this will be kept in credit for a maximum of 3 months from your last date of training. 

  • Can I get a manual truck licence if I drive an automatic car?

    • Yes, you can.
